Just as 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' so must Charisma. What one being perceives as witty and charming, or disarming and accessible may appear the opposite to another being. So to treat Charisma as a single, objective stat (like Strength or Dexterity) is an inaccurate way of modelling what is really a far more complex set of traits.JDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07109374373698821916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600947515654238699.post-59514077321688825212014-01-25T09:11:33.926-03:002014-01-25T09:11:33.926-03:00Think of charisma not as 'likability' but ...Think of charisma not as 'likability' but *PRESENCE*... a Demon Lord would have a high charisma, but it doesn't make him likable, it makes him terrifying.... because it is really about presence. A high charisma allows you to radiate your persona and influence people. A fighter with a high charisma is far more intimidating than one without... being in his presence fills his foes with dread.n8mcdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03595908467212326227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600947515654238699.post-74080349074494665842014-01-25T06:09:04.566-03:002014-01-25T06:09:04.566-03:00Great post. It was put there for a reason, and I think you hit the nail on the head with this article. The Azebronitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01607320519752632328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600947515654238699.post-21224362006784431472014-01-25T02:07:26.820-03:002014-01-25T02:07:26.820-03:00Pretty much my thoughts on what charisma should do...Pretty much my thoughts on what charisma should do. Though I plan to give fighter types and magical types more of reason why they want to have high charisma. Yeah I am working on a OSR idea and it won't be social skills.Snowman0147https://www.blogger.com/profile/04811245101715889991noreply@blogger.com
