So immigration is nothing to worry about. And history or nativity have no meaning. You either are fit enough to live somehwere now (and therefor belong where you are) or you do not (even if you did so for millions of years). Hippo's survive in the Amazone? They belong there. It is as simple as that.<br />And science has shown that inspite of the heory saying something different: competition rarely if ever leads to an extinction. As hippo's do not predate (which also lead to very few extinctions on continents) the most likely outcome even to the liking of conservative ecologist, will be that one species is added to the Amazone. I don't know if the hippos themselves will do anything good for the environment of the Amazon, mind you! More likely not...RPGPundithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17267330191433119298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600947515654238699.post-84344297571233747542014-06-30T17:43:20.071-04:002014-06-30T17:43:20.071-04:00Because horses evolved in the Americas?Because horses evolved in the Americas?Doc Savagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08783244633195233970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600947515654238699.post-57164172602873071392014-06-30T15:59:47.282-04:002014-06-30T15:59:47.282-04:00Yes, a very good point. But then, we tend to forget that there was a time when horses weren't part of the natural environment of the Americas either. If horses can do it, why not hippos?RPGPundithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17267330191433119298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600947515654238699.post-82875958853621205032014-06-30T15:50:03.979-04:002014-06-30T15:50:03.979-04:00Another plus for the "the tigers escaped from...Another plus for the "the tigers escaped from the zoo." reasoning for post apocalypse random tables/ encounters :Djvineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05108835731517840359noreply@blogger.com
