I know this blog post is a few years, but I recently got the pdf for this to use for a campaign I ran, and this was a fun one to use for a side quest. I homebrewed some more animal ninjas (all in black pajamas, of course) to use alongside the existing ones for more variety. Wanted to give you a thanks for content and inspiration for this. The party was flabbergasted when attacked by ninja wolves, squirrels, lizards, beavers, weasels, raccoons, bears, birds, etc., striking karate poses, backflipping everywhere and yelling karate cries. They had a blast when sneaking past the deadly patrols of ninja deer and ninja horses I had creeping around, lead by a ninja unicorn. And the final clash with the duck while turning most of the other animals against him was a real rush for the party. And I intend to use more animal ninjas for the future, how could I not? The shock it gives the party is too much to pass up on.
