As a Catholic and rpg'er, thank you for your evenhanded treatment of the Church. A point of interest, many of the problems in the 15th century in the church was due to the chaos the Black Death caused. It was hard to keep priests properly taught when they kept dying...
Well, yes and no. A lot of the rot was from above, and that wasn't really related to the black death at all. It was a product of political power being available to upper class families through the church, leading to people becoming bishops (or archbishops, cardinals or popes) who were not particularly pious.
And that God should be Elizabeth Warren!
