Against the Woodland Creatures!

From the annals of the RPGPundit's (in)famous Last Sun gonzo fantasy campaign, RPGPundit Presents #79: Against The Woodland Creatures presents a scenario in which a crazy forest-wizard has been driving away mutant tribes and outsiders in the Tangled Wood. Someone has to stop him, so why not get the player characters to do it?

The PCs may face a variety of forest encounters, from goblins or sharks to wolves or stickslimes. And then there are the woodland creatures, somehow controlled by the wizard and taught the ways of the ninja!

Face off against electro-squirrels! Find out where Bearowls come from! Discover the terrible secret of the Evil Duck! All this and more is waiting for you in Against the Woodland Creatures!
Combine this issue with #36: Saga of the Green and Blue Mutant Chiefs#39: The Great Tree Druid, and #29: The Azure Order of Wizards for even more possibilities!

  1. I know this blog post is a few years, but I recently got the pdf for this to use for a campaign I ran, and this was a fun one to use for a side quest. I homebrewed some more animal ninjas (all in black pajamas, of course) to use alongside the existing ones for more variety. Wanted to give you a thanks for content and inspiration for this. The party was flabbergasted when attacked by ninja wolves, squirrels, lizards, beavers, weasels, raccoons, bears, birds, etc., striking karate poses, backflipping everywhere and yelling karate cries. They had a blast when sneaking past the deadly patrols of ninja deer and ninja horses I had creeping around, lead by a ninja unicorn. And the final clash with the duck while turning most of the other animals against him was a real rush for the party. And I intend to use more animal ninjas for the future, how could I not? The shock it gives the party is too much to pass up on.
