This little bit of news came to me today. It made my day. Helton is a piece of garbage who has been writing as a "games journalist" on RPGs for a long time now, and was one of the first people to call for me to be blacklisted when it came out that I was one of the Consultants on 5th edition D&D.
He was one of a group of SJWs who had been trying to defame Bill Webb and Frog God Games while trying to pressure Steve Jackson Games into dropping their collaboration with Frog God. So Frog God/Webb reached out to Ty Beard, a lawyer who is becoming increasingly famous for taking on cases of fighting back against SJW harassment and false accusations. And Beard shared this tweet today, specifically stating that he looks forward to "discussing" Helton's allegations against Webb "under oath".
Marvelous.
Oh, and icing on the cake: they're suing Stacy Dellorfano and Jessica Price too!

Wait....didn't Stacy work for FGG?
ReplyDeleteShe spearheaded the "diversity-edition" of S&W Complete. FGG played the social justice game and got burnt, who would have seen that coming?
DeleteI was harassed by this noted dip-shit tandem for calling out the disrespect/ disregard towards the established S&W audience- you know the people that keep FGGs doors open.
I have a copy of that book, I'd heard good things about S&W, and was looking to get a copy. It is pretty nice. The art is ok, but to be frank I don't buy RPG books for the art. I buy them for the rules. Same reason I don't buy Playboy for the articles (ok, that isn't entirely true, the last issue I bought had an interview I was interested in reading as well as pages from a webcomic that I follow that were going to be a Playboy exclusive, but NORMALLY I don't buy Playboy for the articles).
DeleteYup, she did. And then she stabbed it in the back like she did everyone she's ever worked for.
DeleteWould be nice if this is a new trend of people suing these loudmouth liars.
ReplyDeleteThis is the third such lawsuit in a few months.
DeleteFirst is a comics author suing after a SJW at Marvel bullied his publisher into breaking his contract.
Second is the Voice Actor behind the main character of Full Metal Alchemist suing Funimation and 3 SJWs for making up some story about him raping people and calling anime conventions to ban him.
And third is FGG/SGG going after the Dungeons and Dangerhair crew, which is happening because Bill Webb saw Nick Rekieta's streams on the Voice Actor lawsuit.
Fourth if you count Hambly vs Loter. The guy who was attacked st GenCon.
DeleteGood point, I had forgotten The Quartering. But that wasn't a Tort Interference lawsuit, that was a SJW actually pulling an Antifa on him.
DeleteRemember guys, domestic terrorism and political violence is somehow OK when the radical left does it.
Good point it's a different lawsuit. I am actually glad that now people are using the courts to deal with them.
DeleteTenkar's quiet.
ReplyDeleteOdd.
DeletePlaying small and avoiding the turbo lasers?
DeleteWhat kind of person even uses "SJW" in 2019? It's a pretty lousy assortment of people, but I guess when you're stuck in a niche you have to pander.
ReplyDeleteWell, it would be more accurate to call them Stalinists, but SJW is a handy abbreviation.
DeleteAnd who uses it? All the people that got Trump elected and will get him re-elected. All the people who despise you because they've realized how much you despise them.
I have to disagree with you pundit on a small matter, I didn't vote for Trump, nor do I plan to in the future, I consider myself fairly liberal. I do however use the term SJW because I find it useful to have a way of differentiating myself from the intolerant leftist shitheads. At least one that is polite enough to keep me from being banned in many forums.
DeleteIt's been my experience that SJWs are absolutely desperate to prevent the term from gaining prominance, because it is so succinct, easily used to mock and identify them, and here's the big thing: 1984 taught us that something without a name can't be easily thought about.
DeleteWe've known SJWs have existed for a significant time, ever since the Neo-Marxists indoctrinated in Universities started coming out into the real world. But it was only once GamerGate pegged them and fought them to a standstill in Video Gaming that many people realized there was a growing problem.
SJWs exist. They are trolls and insane people that use Social Activism as a shield to deflect criticism and a sword to attack people with.
Well, it was the name they gave themselves 15-20 years ago. Now they want it gone because it is associated with them.
DeleteA better system would be changing their behavior so it doesn't sully whatever whatever label they give themselves next.
