Lion & Dragon RPG Project: Well, I've Done It Now

God help me, I'm going to have parrying rules.  So shields actually matter.

See what the guy at the front line is doing with his buckler-shield? You'll be able to do that too, soon!

  1. Cool. Please also do not use ever-ascending hit points.

    1. Beyond level 2, the average character in Lion & Dragon will have less hit points than a character of the same class and level in other OSR games.

  2. Leave God out of it... (lol)

Pundit, I would guess more realistic features/rules were bound to happen. I blame Kenzer & Co. for my own thoughts on the matter.

Any details for these parry rules?

  3. This is a good thing. The importance of the shield is too often downplayed in RPGs.
